Kapsamında su üstü gövde ve su hattı boyaları, açık güverte ve kaymaz yüzey kaplamaları, yük ambarı ve makine dairesi boyaları, tatlı su tankı kaplamaları, ısıya dayanıklı boyalar ve galvanizli demir astarları yer alır. Akrilik, alkid, epoksi ve bitümlü ürünlere astarlar, tinerler ve korozyona karşı koruma sistemleri eşlik eder.
Boya seçimi, uygulanacak yüzeye ve yüzeyin maruz kaldığı koşullara göre yapılır. Su altında kalan ve sıçrama bölgesindeki gövde, su hattı, balast ve yük tankı yüzeylerinde korozyon koruması, uygun kullanım alanlarında ise biyolojik kirlenme önleyici (antifouling) sistemler değerlendirilir.
